Ali of Chicago duo New Kingz revisits a solo release he and producer Dougy let go of last spring with the addition of fresh visuals from Stripmall Productions. While still on the periphery, Ali is a great thing waiting to happen. Coming off the release of an EP with New Kingz partner Lukas G just last month, Ali has quickly transitioned back to the solo work. It's been a little over a year since Ali's last solo release, "The Natives" EP, but since then he's kept fans listening with a series of loose releases throughout the past year.
The highlight of that series "Crash" sees new life in the energizing visuals by Ian and Sean of Stripmall Productions. It may have been a gloomy day today, but Ali's new video has us feeling like it's spring via the uplifting vibes of this anthem. We wait on the edge of our seats for what Ali has cooking this year, and are convinced he'll go far. If "Crash" is your first impression, we're sure it won't be your last.
