Round Up • New Releases From G Herbo, HXLT, Ibn Inglor & More

Each week the These Days staff comes across great music from Chicago artists that we could not provide individual features for. In an effort to keep our readers up to date with more of our recent favorites, the Round Up segment provides quick summaries and additional noteworthy content. Check out our latest picks below and feel free to submit a comment if you feel we missed something.

G Herbo • "Bottom Of The Bottom"

G Herbo drops another fantastic visual with his heavy "Bottom Of The Bottom". What else would you expect? The South Shore rapper has been on fire for a year now, and there's nothing to suggest him slowing down. In fact, all of his recent videos in particular have been excellent. "Bottom Of The Bottom" maybe, but G Herbo's rap game is at an all time high.

HXLT • "Perfect"

“Perfect” is the fourth visual off of HXLT’s debut/self-titled album, which was released just last month. The song touches on the insecurities we all face on a daily basis with the realization that we cannot be perfect. The video is dope because it allows the song to show the softer side of an underground streetfighter before and during a match. He’s seen as this tough guy, but inside he’s insecure about not being able to be perfect.

Ibn Inglor • "Pray For Health"

While praying for health in the midst of fighting depression, Ibn Inglor finds time to compare himself to Bernie Sanders and Michael Jordan on the second glimpse into his upcoming project, Honegloria. Ibn Inglor dropped “The Good You See in Us” last October, and almost six months passed and still no full-length project, but “Pray for Health” is definitely one hell of a consolation prize.

Lloyd Dotdot • "Premeditation"

Lloyd Dotdot (also known as DotKom), one-half of The Whoevers, shows off his lyrical ability on this latest cut, “Premeditation”. It’s interesting that this the second track DotKom has dropped this month and just last month his counterpart, J. Arthur dropped a beat tape. Hopefully these random releases are “premediated” actions leading to another project from The Whoevers to follow-up last year’s Marathon.

Saint Millie • "Member's Only" (Prod. DJ Viktorious)

A week after dropping “For Love” featuring GLC and Sarah Young, Saint Millie is back with another loosie, but this time it appears that everyone isn’t invited. “Members Only” features E-Class Eppi and DJ Victoriouz, and it’s a banger! Saint Millie is gearing up to release a full-length project – with product like this, Millie will have listeners fiending for ADDERALL.
