Qari • "My House"
2016 has been a year of adjustments for Qari and the former skeleton that made up the Hurt Everybody collective which decided to call it quits last month. The silver lining though has been an incessant release schedule from both parties associated in the divorce, a move that continued into March with the Monday release of the latest from the young wiseman Qari in the form of this single, "My House".
Continuing to assert himself on several levels while seeming to find his voice that was a bit trapped under the heavy-handedness of the HE aesthetic, the 19-year-old father has begun to grow more fully into himself. On this one, we find his wings continuing to spread as he appears more able to make creative decisions that come directly from an inner sense of artistry. The track features a really dope sample of Homeshake that speaks further to a sonic quality that comes innately packaged whenever we get a piece that has both ends of the spectrum handled by the artist himself. Regardless of the medium or the backing production though one things for sure; Qari is blazing this next path on his own two and it all begins at home.
