I don’t half step” and “I don’t got no trust, so don’t pass- tress, trespass against us, what up Lord? What up God?, I’m up North, I’m West Side, I’m out South like Rothschild, mouth wide open, liquor store, crossfire”, Qari facilely illustrates cultural and literary realism through spoken word...spilling that exact energy onto “Billy Blanks”, “Operation Hennessy” and “Pony” featuring Mick Jenkins.
Reminiscent of the “golden” era, Qari’s vivid yet complex metaphors and sluggish flow fluidly coincides with the heterodox style of production from SLLIME… illuminating each other’s creative technique.
