Twin Peaks • "Holding Roses"

With only a few weeks left until its release, Twin Peaks' Down In Heaven is already sounding like a worthy follow up to the band's beloved 2014 album Wild Onion. This week, Peaks shares another piece of their third album with "Holding Roses". A rather pleasant sounding break up record, something I'm fairly confident none of us have gotten to experience with our past partings, I can only assume this is part of the perk package that kicks in at some point on the path to becoming a famous rock band. With some Stones-influence peaking through, the offering hears guitars and piano used in a way we don't hear often enough these days.

After giving it a listen, it should be no surprise that "Holding Rose" premiered to much publicity upon its release earlier this week. It even earned Zane Lowe's coveted 'World Record' of the day honors on his Beats1 radio show. Paired with previously released singles "Walk To The One You Love" and "Butterfly", "Holding Roses" gives fans plenty to listen to until Down in Heaven arrives May 13th.
