Calid B. • "Parasites"

People can talk all they want about the coasts and their industry-ridden backbones and the wealth of 'talent' they possess, but more and more we're finding that the Midwest is central to the contemporary and future music world and that sentiment got yet more support as we got a new visual from a fresh face on the scene in Calid B. who teamed up with Nathan Salter for a really dope visual arrangement of his single, "Parasites".

It seems like just about every day someone new and talented emerges from the local scene and here we get the ruminations of a Columbus, Ohio transplant that has connected himself to the local artistry and found a capable collaborator in Salter who's worked alongside the likes of Austin Vesely and prepped projects for Eryn Allen Kane and Chance The Rapper, among others. The result is a striking and quick-moving piece that accentuates the driving force in the song; the need to drop the bullshit and move forward progressively. It's an idea we can probably all get behind and one that is perfectly suited for the warm weather we're currently enjoying these days.
