Jaro (Ft. Qari & Jommis) • "Bad Guy"

Love can be a difficult compromise. We begin to lose our independence, as routine becomes stagnant. Sometimes, we convince ourselves that it's okay to be selfish. To take that job. To make that move. To sacrifice the relationship for a change. But if something's not broken, should it be fixed? Is that so bad? I hope not. But I still can't say for certain. "Co-dependent, that money, pussy, power struggle... that's life. Wonder why you're tryna make me out to be the bad guy..." - @LongLiveCarl "Damn near banned from everywhere you wanna be. Sand near me 'cuz I like to visit beaches" - @Jessiath Written and performed by @LongLiveCarl and @Jessiath Produced and Recorded by Jaro Mixed by Jaro and @MixedByDarwin Photo by @NeonPajamas Premiered via @MassAppeal http://massappeal.com/premiere-jaro-bad-guy-qari-jommis/

Rampage Jaro, say it twice. The genreless (melancholytronica?) producer has been doing damage this calendar year. Back in April, we heard his debut EP, La Rouge, and this summer, he is preparing to release the follow-up, La Bleue. We received the first single, "Window Pain", with Luke Olson (of The Walters) and producer Elias Abid the other week and now Jaro is back for the second single, this time with Qari and Jommis. The two vocalists recorded a significant amount of songs together as part of the group Supreme Regime, before Qari went on to join Hurt Everybody, and Jommis went on to join Beach Jesus. While the song 'Hawaii' was released last year featuring both Hurt and the Beach, this is their first time on the same track as solo artists since “My Car's On Fire” back 2014. Very rare. Consider this a mark in history. Look out for Jaro's four song La Bleue EP coming sooner than later.

If I’m being earnest
my superficiality is what you should be concerned with
Quit playin’, n****, we in the circuit
I sink the surface.”
— Qari
Damn near banned from everywhere
you wanna be
sand near me
’cause I like to visit beaches.”
— Jommis
