Lud Foe • "In and Out"

Directed by Otto The Director

In this day and age, people tend to ooze their surroundings, whether it be in person, or virtually, we all translate our experiences through forms of language.  I believe these intricacies are the fabric to our humanity, our character, our voice, no matter the circumstance, people are who they are despite what any individual may have the chance to see in another.

Nearly five months since the twenty track ensemble No Hooks dropped, Lud Foe has built a fortress around his name by consistently out rapping the competition. In the lane known as gangster rap, Lud Foe is the hardest brand in the industry, a condition commanded by relentless bars, fierce imagery, and Foe’s unwavering code of ethics. When delving into his form of storytelling, doubt never crosses one’s mind, especially not now.

"In and Out" is a depiction of the life Lud Foe has built his name through. With visuals of this caliber, I find myself at a somewhat joyful loss for words.  I grew up listening to Eazy E and N.W.A., so by no means am I shocked, in fact, i think this video is the Straight Outta Compton of our generation. Decades ago this type of thing was unheard of, but from the internet came changes due to the influx independently budgeted artists. These days, more artists have control over their level of media, with a little money behind it, people build platforms for success. "In and Out" is a testament to Lud Foe’s strength as a business, my anticipation only grows larger waiting for what’s next from the westside rapper.
