Knox Fortune • "Help Myself"
Yesterday we dropped our latest cover story for the month of April which focused on Chicago producer/artist Knox Fortune and today the behind-the-scenes player makes good on his promises for additional solo material by releasing his latest single, "Help Myself".
The first singing we've really heard from Knox since his central stint on Chance The Rapper's "All Night", this single goes decidedly in a more instrumentally-driven, almost indie direction that, when juxtaposed against what we've heard from him to date, begins to reveal the sort of lengthy range the recent Grammy winner posseses. Listen closely too, there's a little subtle reference to his track with Chano that vaulted him to the forefront of the scene and onto radio stations across the country when he sings "all night, we were talking all night". This one's very dope and comes with plenty of hands on it, par for the course for anything emanating from the scene these days. Regardless, it sounds like something wholly different, wholly Knox and wholly getting our excitement up for his full-length coming later this year. Check out the track in full above and our cover story on Knox here as well.
