KAMI • "Scene Girl"

director • Andre Muir // producer • Zach Moore

While we're still waiting on pins and needles for the impending release of KAMI's Just Like The Movies project, fans and listeners got a worthy holdover today as the SaveMoney artist debuted his long-anticipated visual for his lead single, "Scene Girl" which doesn't disappoint in the least.

The video for the Knox Fortune-produced single, shot by Andre Muir and Naked Gallery with a considerable helping hand from Zach Moore and Verluxe's Danielle Alston, plays like a movie ripped straight from the late 80s and appropriated for the Millenial experience. Combining clever lighting cues, a simple but effective storyline and a who's who of ladies in the local scene, KAMI and his creative team put together what so far is easily one of the best visuals we've come across in Chicago or anywhere for that matter. The visual follows Kene as he works his way around the city trying in an endless array of efforts to get into the club as the doorways stay continually jammed with, you guessed it: scene girls. It's a sort of tongue-in-cheek look at the maneuverings of those in and around a night out on the town. Get into this one immediately, you won't want to miss it.
