Chance The Rapper • "They Say"

THEY SAY IS OUT SO CHANO FAM GROUP CHAT FOR MAKING THIS HAPPEN - DAN

This week we get a new collaboration from Kaytranada and Chance The Rapper titled, “They Say." Was rumored to have been released spontaneously by Kaytranada, a leftover from the critically acclaimed Coloring Book sessions. With Chance is on his Be Encouraged Tour with DJ Oreo and King Louie, new music is a pleasant surprise. During his set for Pharrell and Scott Vener’s, OTHERtone radio show, Kaytranada, snuck the new track as well as other unreleased music. If you remember last year, the two came together for “All Night", a single that made the album and is arguably one of the main highlights.

It’s amazing to see talented people from different walks of life, connect for something like this. Kay’s productive skills get sharper by the day, especially his sample work. The song has a floating ambience backed by strings and keys. With a gentle thump, the kick pulls the tempo to a smooth walk, perfect environment for artists like Chance. A beat you can easily sing and/or rap over. It’s a shame the song didn’t come sooner, but the lyrics fit that post-Coloring Book vibe perfectly.

Right now Chance is getting ready for his performance at Palace of Auburn Hills in Michigan tomorrow night. Catch him in a city near your if you can, and until we get the next helping from Kay or Chance, let this new song keep you company.
