Trapo • "Bad Gal"
Words by Peter Bonamici
Having recently released The Black Beverly Hills EP about two months ago, Madison Wisconsin’s very own Trapo is back at it. This time from his forthcoming project titled The She EP. The 17 year-old is releasing music at the pace of a hare and his attention to detail is astounding.
"Bad Gal" is the twisted love story of Caroline, his previous girl, who he realizes is fatally flawed due to racist and superficial tendencies. Just a girl in demons clothing I guess. Trapo’s dark raspy voice is reminiscent of Ja Rule but with a soulful twist capable of melodic hooks. The heavily jazz inspired instrumental is presented to us by Derrick Thomas.
While no word on the exact date of when to expect The She EP, we do have word that it will be available via Spotify and will include three tracks in addition to today's drop. Stay tuned for more details.
