Bengfang • Imperial Grade Project

Bengfang has been creeping into my sound waves all year long. First, we caught a glimpse of the producer in the tripped out video for “Effleurage”, a song which remains a loose track. Following that drop, Bengfang returned with the pristine and mind altering visuals for “Distant Fantasy”, a track and visual component that might be comparable to Bjork and Aphex Twin, like if Chris Cunningham was directing a video for TNGHT. Now, following those two videos (and a remix to Louis the Child's smash hit “It's Strange”), Bengfang unloads with his nine song full-length Imperial Grade Project. It's as clean as it comes, properly packaged, shipped from the future, with the physical release resembling a biohazard, airsealed apocalyptic parcel that has been quarantined. This album has enough bass to break your car speakers (just step inside the opening track and hear it for yourself), so be prepared. While the SoundCloud and Bandcamp links give you a taste of the project, you must pony up to hear it all. The $15 bundle will give you an SD card, a custom made electronic static bag, two hidden additional song, and Bengfang's drum pack. Damn. Don't mind if I do.
