Round Up • New Releases From Chris Crack, DJ Caleeb, Mike Jaxx & More

Each week the These Days staff comes across great music from Chicago artists that we could not provide individual features for. In an effort to keep our readers up to date with more of our recent favorites, the Round Up segment provides quick summaries and additional noteworthy content. Check out our latest picks below and feel free to submit a comment if you feel we missed something.

Chris Crack (Ft. Weasel Sims & Jae Haze) • "Spiked Lemonade"

The only way to cool down from all the heat Chris Crack has been dropping is with some refreshing lemonade, and we’re not talking no Beyonce album. "Spiked Lemonade" is an ode to hard knocks with the west side's Weasel Sims and Jae Haze supporting for a trifecta of hard hitting lyrics.

DJ Caleeb • "Young & Jiggy"

With a title like "Young & Jiggy", I would never have expected such a calming and ambient track. DJ Caleeb soothes the soul with his chill out house inspired track complete with rain effects and Sub-Saharan drum kit. This is his first drop from his Intro-Spection project, which is yet to get a release date.

Lil Durk • "Mud"

Looking for the undeniable anthem of dirty sprite? Look no further. Lil Durk resurrects a banger from his 300 Days 300 Nights mixtape for a brand new visual for "Mud".  Fresh off his first European tour, Durk has touched back down in states so we can only hope to expect more from the dedicated rapper in the next few weeks.

Mike Jaxx • "Views From Ya Bitch"

Mike Jaxx of #100Trill drops some brand new solo material with "Views From Ya Bitch". The title is an apparent quip at Drake’s album Views, with the lyrics suggesting the over-saturation of uninspired lyrics is mainstream music’s fatal downfall. Nevertheless, help an indie brother out and share some real music.

Morocco Brown • "Closer"

Morocco Brown sure knows how to be fashionably late to the fame game. Vary sparingly trickling his music out for the past two years while developing his talent under manager and mentor Taylor Bennett, Morocco Brown brings us a sample of his new and improved sounds with "Closer". Be sure to catch Morocco Brown live alongside Taylor Bennett, Super Bwe, and Trapo at Reggies Rock Club on May 28th.
