Chris Crack • Troll Till They Fold
Chris Crack knows about trolling. While dude isn't quite as prevalent in the practice as frequent collaborator and group-mate Vic Spencer, Crack certainly knows how to work the Internet the right way and proves as much today with the release of an unexpected collection, aptly titled Troll Till They Fold.
This 13-song project arrives as Crack has found a considerable amount of attention, both as a solo act and part of the Chris Spencer duo which has become a favorite of bloggers like David Drake who recently featured the pairing in Pitchfork. While the message is a bit shrouded, the description of the project loudly states that "Chris Crack is dead" and "Chicago got money for EVERYTHING but education". Perhaps he's turning the whole troll thing on it's head and this is just exactly that, or maybe not. Regardless, dude has been staying busy for some years now and continues to offer up tracks for the everyday man, dealing with mundane titles like "Mild Sauce on My Home Button", "Gas Money" or "Pine Cones". This one should be a welcome addition to the annals of Chris Crack lore and one that'll surely continue his attention-grabbing social media behavior.
