Round Up • New Releases From Phor, Westside Flee, Lil Durk & More

Each week the These Days staff comes across great music from Chicago artists that we could not provide individual features for. In an effort to keep our readers up to date with more of our recent favorites, the Round Up segment provides quick summaries and additional noteworthy content. Check out our latest picks below and feel free to submit a comment if you feel we missed something.

Killavesi • "You Know Betta"

After bringing us her first solo project, “Killavesi Ep. 1,” the Chicago artist has recently dropped a video for “Know U Betta,” her sensationally syrupy summer track produced by Hi Tom. The song is on Soundcloud for later streaming, but first, have a look at the video below!

Lil Durk (Ft. Yo Gotti) • "Money Walk"

Not happy with the performance of his recent projects, Remember My Name and 300 Days 300 Nights,  Lil Durk has hit the drawing board again for his new album 2X, looking to create a project with the same heart but far more energy than his 2015 releases. "Money Walk" is a slice of 2X, and offers a look into Durk's new approach as he raps over a minimal beat and preaches his success. Featuring Yo Gotti, "Money Walks" is a sign of good music ahead of us.

Lucki Eck$ • BLOODBOY FREESTYLE

Since 2013 , Chicago's young and savvy alternative trap star Lucki has been consistently dropping nonstop chill freewave vibes . We must give it up to this hood phenom as he shares with the world a new track, "Bloodboy". The beat goes pretty damn hard if you love some good off-set bass and bobbing your head. It seems that Lucki is telling us that he's knee deep in the game, and not letting up at his craft. His unforgiving banter pertaining to females, acting up and hitting licks certainly has not faded. Lucki is most certainly one to keep a sharp eye on as his success level continues to rise. Make sure you keep up on em as he and his musical counterpart continue to progress in the music industry.

Phor (Ft. Twista) • "Thinking Cap"

In his follow up to God’s Hands, Phor has teamed up with Twista & producer Lehday to create Thinking Cap – a spiritual tribute Chicago. They think back to a time when the city was flooded with love and asks us to help bring it back. This one discusses Chicago’s hardest issues but still remains positive. Be sure to give this one a listen.

Rich Robbins (Ft. Sarei) • "H.o.V"

Rich Robbins has come a long way this past year and his most recent campaign for All This Gold has been nothing if not relentless, in the best way possible of course. Revisiting his recently released album, Rich, Sarei and director Grant Brooks collaborate on visuals for "H.o.V". No Sean Carter here, just the house of vibes. Take this moment to crash the party and check out the rest of All This Gold if you haven't already.

Westside Flee • "F.N.O.M.B."

Westside Flee has maintained his status as one of Chicago's most under the radar lyricists, bringing quality writing, humor and reality with every track. On "F.N.O.M.B." he's not just the wordsmith either, rocking an unstoppable flow for 3 minutes straight that'll absolutely have you bobbing your head. The beat is classic Flee, laid-back, fresh and ready for bars. Rest assured that Westside Flee will be keeping his block fresh for the foreseeable future.
