Lil Trav • Trav Goku

Gucci Mane’s track “All My Children” came out recently since his release, and I think it pertains to Sicko Mobb quite a bit.  Regarding the sea of artists now rocking the DBZ and anime aesthetic – Sicko Mobb has a lot of kids running around, let that be known. The group is composed of Lil Trav and Lil Ceno, two of the strangest and most creative artists out of the city, repping their own very unique brand of bop and Chicago rap. Now Trav has released the project he’s been leading up to and teasing for months, Trav Goku, and it firmly falls in the latter category in the dichotomy of bop vs. rap.

Let all doubters know, this is an excellent project that Lil Trav hits out of the park. First and foremost, Lil Trav has bars. If you haven’t been listening closely, you may not know this, but Trav Goku will make it exceedingly clear. Tracks like “Go Hard”, “Addicted”, “Whole Lotta Racks” all display a side of Lil Trav that fans have seen but isn’t always easily visible to the casual listener. Also featured on a track is Lil Ceno, for the Sicko Mobb die-hards out there. Finally, respect must be paid to producer Lucas G, featured on three tracks and crushing each and every one. Trav Goku is a great effort on Lil Trav's part, as he continues to show the world what he has to offer as an artist. The Sicko Mobb takeover continues.
