Calez (Ft. Alex Wiley, Mick Jenkins & Donnie Trumpet) • "Still Good"

Baby mixtape this Sept.

Words by Nicholas Rud

The spotlight has been on Chicago's hip-hop scene for a while now. Over the past couple of years we have been delivering many talented artists, with versatile styles. Adding to the great summer we have been having, this week we get a song that showcases just some of those talented versatile artists that Chicago has to offer. Calez is back with a new song as we wait for the release of his upcoming project Baby, which according to Calez on Twitter, we'll be receiving the release date sometime next week.

Making its premiere on Beats 1 this afternoon, "Still good", Calez's new feel good single, has a beautiful and soulful beat produced by Rollie, with added brass by The Social Experiment frontman, Donnie Trumpet. The song is already worth your time at this point, but then add Alex Wiley and Mick Jenkins to the mix and it's a real problem. With Baby on the way soon, this single has us more anxious than ever to listen to what Calez still has under wraps.
