Teddy Jackson (Ft. Smino, Jean Deaux & Erica Rene) • "The Flyest Singalong"

The story behind the children's book Too Fly Not To Fly, created in Chicago by Briana McLean and Desmond Owusu, is quite an amazing one. As a CPS teacher on the city's southside, McLean became saddened by the lack of diverse cultural representation in the books provided to her students by the school. Understanding how that may effect how her students saw themselves, she took matters into her own hands and paired up with Owusu (photographer) to put together an alphabet photo book showcasing those very students. The fantastic final product released this summer, and we urge you to learn more about it here. Inspired by the book's concept, Teddy Jackson paired up with Erica Rene, Jean Deaux & Smino to give us "The Flyest Singalong". Over production from Cam O'bi, which we've actually heard before in Supa Bwe & Chance the Rapper's collab "Fool Wit It Freestyle", Teddy & co. provide their own twist. Listen above.
