DJ Khaled (Ft. Justin Beiber, Quavo, Chance The Rapper & Lil Wayne) • "I'm The One"
Directed by Unknown
DJ Khaled is the kind of musical enigma that you have to appreciate. He’s unapologetically kept his focus on the entertainment aspect of music and continues to provide it in spades, all while remaining likable and relevant. The team assembled for this track is three young legends in their prime and one godfather figure in Lil’ Wayne, all playfully doing their thing on the drippy Caribbean infused beat that is sure to irk some people while they nod their heads.
If there’s one consistent theme in Khaled’s videos, it’s that it looks like the artists involved had a wonderful time making the video and song. While none of it is particularly inspired or personal, it is the kind of summertime song that will coat the beaches and make you feel good while you listen to it. At a period of time where Bieber, Chance, and Quavo are hitting their strides as major artists, it seems perfectly fitting for them all to appear on this kind of posse cut with Khaled and Wayne, showing the world the fun side of being on top of it.
