With the weather we’re experiencing today, oddCouple’s “See The Sun” couldn’t have come on a better week. Featuring everyone’s favorite bass player, Boyang, the new track sounds like a story without words. Taking a break from his work with bands like, Kaina and The Burns Twins, and The O'my's, Boyang makes a subtle yet impactful appearance on this production. With gentle guidance, he uses sub bass lines to pulse along the beat. While oddCouple’s intense percussion flurries over endless chords, his melodies floating above a sea of atmospherics: chirping birds, sweeping synths, record scratches. Needless to say, the production is flying off on all cylinders. Along with this release, oddCouple had some words of enlightenment via Twitter, “at 28 ik exactly what i want from life // spread joy, lift spirits, & be the jetpack for my ppl to takeoff with.”

He’s been on a strong path to success these past nine months since releasing Liberations early last fall. The project featured some familiar voices including, Rich Jones, Kweku Collins, and Qari to name a few. Some of his more standout releases came last year as well, Chance The Rapper’s single, “Burnthecity” and “Morning Sex” from Joey Purp’s iiiDrops. That’s not all, this years oddCouple announced a few big live performances too: Mamby On The Beach (Chicago) - June 24th, Summerfest (Milwaukee) - July 4th, and Pitchfork After Party @ Virgin Hotel (Chicago) - July 16th. It looks to be an interesting year for the Chicago producer. As we look out for more updates get in tune with “See The Sun”.
