oddCouple (Ft. Jamila Woods & Kweku Collins) • "Love Above"
Liberation, the second solo effort of producer oddCouple, is really shaping up to be something quite nice. After giving us "Blinded" featuring WebsterX and Mick Jenkins a couple months back, the Milwaukee native follows up with "Love Above", an exclusively Closed Sessions affair. With label mates Jamila Woods and Kweku Collins at his side, this producer is two for two. Utilizing a slow build, but the break is well worth the wait.
Along with the new track, Liberation's tracklist and pre-order went live today. In addition to the aforementioned artists, the album sees guest slots from Joey Purp, Qari, Mike Golden, Kelechi, Siren, Jack Red, Rich Jones, Kipp Stone & GLC. 2015's Chatterbox had an equally stacked tracklist and generated some destined to be legendary collaborations and I expect nothing less from his sophomore effort.
