Saba (Ft. IDK) • "Beautiful Smile"
Saba collaborates with IDK on his new single “Beautiful Smile”. Like much of what we’ve seen with his recent releases, Saba honors his cousin John Walt, referencing him in many of his songs. Repeated in the chorus, “I got a beautiful smile, honestly I forgot how. Since I put my boy in a box, sometime I see him in the cloud”. “Beautiful Smile” takes the opposite course from “Stay Right Here”, with a melancholy beat and sorrowful lyrics, contrasting the upbeat track of “Stay Right Here”. Saba’s new single is consistent with his work, never missing a beat. Saba’s collaborations and work with other artists always demonstrates the skill each one has and brings out something more for each person involved. Paired with “Stay Right Here”, “Beautiful Smile” is a great foil for his previous track with both lamenting on the agony from the loss of his close friend and family in different tones.
