greenSLLIME • “DEEP END”
A talk-show host, DJ, producer, and emcee all rolled into one; greenSLLIME wears many hats in Chicago. Due to his hectic schedule within the first two roles, we haven’t heard a lot of his raps throughout the years, which is a shame because he can spit with the best of them. Luckily for us, the Morgan Park native finally unleashed a record from his vault of unreleased material along with the promise of even more new music to follow soon.
With “DEEP END,” SLLIME offers a slow-burning joint full of acerbic wit over a hypnotizing sampled loop he produced three years ago. The video, shot by Darryl Turnbo, finds SLLIME enjoying Lincoln Park’s annual ZooLights with a bit of smoke and eerie vibes. Paired up together, the visual and song make for a pleasing experience on both sensors. Watch above.
