Pivot Gang • "Jason Statham, Pt. 2"
If like me, you needed a quick refresher on crucial Pivot Gang history following last night’s release, I highly encourage checking out the original “Jason Statham” because 1) MFnMelo actually goes off and 2) there’s a high probability you’ll get teary-eyed by his growth exhibited in the song embedded above.
The sequel also features Joseph Chilliams dropping lines about Wow Bow, using his “pictures to arouse” and kissing under the rainbow, while Saba handles hook duties over Squeak and daedae’s production.
There’s a real sense of kinship in this song. Years of rapping in their cold basement/studio and sharing mics during shows have led to an understanding of each other’s ebbs and flows and that remarkable chemistry is in full display here. With a video and album on the way, Pivot Gang is set for a fun year ahead.
