G Herbo & Southside • Still Swervin
G Herbo and Southside’s first collaborative project --2018’s Swervo--tapped into the MC’s more abrasive alter-ego fueled by the producer’s breakneck instrumentals. His core audience received the 14-track project positively and it also surprised many by its commercial success, peaking at #15 in the Billboard 200.
Now, Herbo and Southside double-down on their winning formula with a second batch of frantic and menacing songs in Still Swervin. Although there’s no real variance between the two projects, the Chicago native and the 808s Mafia co-founder make for an explosive partnership that prevents the newest installment from feeling insipid.
Features by Gunna, Lil 40, Pretty Savage and Juice WRLD also add a layer of diverting change of pace. Listen above.
