Anthony Pavel Performs on 'Good Day Chicago'

Chicago's music scene has been coming up and the city's media platforms have been responding well, continuing to tap into the increasingly illustrious collection of artists once again as they hosted Anthony Pavel to perform live on FOX's Windy City Live last week. Coming off the release of his recent debut project, Windows, that dropped last month and was followed by a show this past weekend with Zaramela. It's been a busy few weeks for Pavel but dude kills it per usual here.

Chance The Rapper Featured on ESPN

Chance The Rapper is preparing to release his third mixtape later this month, you might have heard about it recently. If you somehow managed to keep you head in the sand for his oversized performance last night at the Chicago Theater, his sky-high acrobatics across the city in his "Angels" video or his first pitch at the White Sox game which was preceded by news that Chance and co had redsesigned the team's hats. Well, ESPN was paying attention and this week tipped their cap to the hometown hero, calling his collaboration with the South Siders 'brilliant'.

To be honest, we can't really disagree. It's a sensical collab that has been teased since Chance's backing band and production team began affectionately calling themselves The Social Experiment or, 'soX' for short. There are surely more big things happening directly in Chance's future and we'll be here to bring it to you as it breaks!

YAKUBFilms Shares "Angels" Behind The Scenes & 'Metro Trusts Chicago Recap' Videos

Our man Jake Linden, known to many as Yakub Films, has been backstage and behind the scenes documenting two of the most buzzed about productions to come out of the city in recent weeks. The first, is the behind the scenes video for Chance The Rapper and Austin Vesely's latest visual collaboration "Angels". From cinespace to the CTA, Yak shows the magic that turned Chance into a superhero at work.

The second, which arrived today, was the official recap video of Metro Boomin's sold out show at the Metro a week and a half ago. With opening sets from James and the Giant Trap Beat, Russ and Lil Yachty, the crowd was primed and ready for an epic headlining set and the coveted producer made sure the Metro was boomin. If you weren't able to catch the show or are just looking to relive the action a bit, press play up top -  Yak perfectly captured the energy of the evening.

Ali Six & Jugrnaut Collaborate on new Collection

Chicago's street art and street wear worlds collided last week with the release of Jugrnaut and Ali Six's Spring collection. Consisting of two tees, one short-sleeved and one long-sleeved, a hat and a lapel pin, the collection features Ali Six's lovable character Richie front and center. The pieces are available online and in store now. We suggest moving fast on this one: two of the city's staples connecting on some really cool pieces, these won't stay on shelves for long. Peep select shots from the look book up above, and for more on Ali Six read our recent interview on him here
