Among an abundance of Lollapalooza aftershows happening this week (fifty-five to be exact) that will collectively host over 100 artists, the show that kicks off Lollapalooza week’s festivities not only benefits a great cause, but it just so happens to be one of the best curated bills of the week. It isn’t solely due to headliner Kali Uchis  - whom we’re enthusiastic to see back in Chicago after her last stop on co-headlining tour with Jorja Smith - but it is the entire bill which features Iris Temple and (now L.A based) Tatiana Hazel that makes this show damn near perfect.

Yes, “damn near perfect” is a fitting phrase to describe this Metro show. Iris Temple - made up of Producer Quinn Cochran and Singer Quinn Barlow - offer pleasant sounds manifested from a blend of genres paired with gentle lyrics, which can be enjoyed from their latest release The Ones We Love EP

Tatiana Hazel (a LatinX artist from Chicago) has released various notable singles and her critically acclaimed Toxic EP. Hazel’s music is exciting and honest, and her punchy production paired with strong vocals and bilingual lyricism is nothing short of enticing.

It’s these styles and unique blends of genre from Iris Temple and Tatiana that pair well with headliner Kali Uchis’ own style: alluring production over mesmerizing vocals and sentimental lyricism.

The last time Kali was in town was during her co-headlining tour with Jorja Smith at Aragon Ballroom, one of just under 20 stops over their month long tour back in late April and early May. Now, Kali returns to Metro Tuesday, July 30th headlining a special show while backed by some of our favorite locals for The 13th Annual Nelarusky, which benefits Special Olympics Illinois. Tickets are moving fast, so grab yours ASAP here! Catch Kali Uchis, Iris Temple and Tatiana Hazel live at the Metro tomorrow at 7PM
