Kaina Announced as Nationwide Support for Sleater-Kinney, plus Austin City Limits Festival Appearance

These Days favorite and Artists to Watch 2019 Kaina will join legendary rockers Sleater-Kinney for select dates on a nationwide tour. Sleater-Kinney are pivotal contributors to the 90s/00s indie rock scene. Heavily influenced and involved in Riot grrrl; an underground feminist punk movement that began in the early 1990s in Washington state and the greater Pacific Northwest. After a hiatus starting in 2006, Sleater-Kinney returned in 2014 and are touring in support of their brand new album The Center Won’t Hold — out August 16th, 2019. Kaina will be supporting alongside Las Vegas based singer-songwriter Shamir, who will be featured as the supporting act for the Chicago appearance on October 19th, 2019 at The Riviera Theatre.

Starting with the tour kick-off on September 18th in Salt Lake City, Kaina will also be touring in support of Cuco’s 16-date North American Para Mi Tour alongside Ambar Lucid and La Dona. Kaina’s homecoming show of the tour will be held on September 22nd at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago.

Kaina will also be playing the festival stage Sunday, October 6th at Austin City Limits in Austin, Texas on the Tito’s Stage. A bucket list festival for many performers, ACL provides tremendous exposure for music fans around the world.

Kaina will be touring in support of her critically acclaimed debut album Next to The Sun.
