North Coast Music Festival Announces New Location, New Look in Celebration of 10 Year Anniversary

North Coast Music Festival has announced a new location (and look) for the 10th Anniversary of the Chicago-based festival held annually labor day weekend (Aug. 31-Sept. 1st). After years at Union Park, North Coast Music Festival will move east lakeside to Northerly Island, a massive peninsula and park space on Lake Michigan’s lakefront. Northerly Island is currently home to a Huntington Bank Pavilion, an outdoor concert venue operated (at 8,000+ capacity) seasonally in the warmer months and often featuring national acts and tours. North Coast originally teased the new location on April Fool’s Day (April 1st), leaving fans playfully suspecting the relocation to be a hoax. The festival later confirmed this location change via their Instagram. Additionally, North Coast has revamped their branding, clearly seen on NCMF’s social media and website.

Although no word on headliners or full lineup announcements, the festival will surely hold the status of being “summer’s last stand,” where Chicagoan’s can now welcome a lakefront breeze to close out the summer. Last year’s headliners included Jamiroquai, DJ Snake, Miguel, Axwell ^ Ingrosso and more. Historically, the fest has a tradition of supporting Chicago’s local music scene as last years lineup included Juice WRLD, Monte Booker, Qari, Duffle Bag Buru, KAMI, Edamame, Mulatto, Iris Temple and Aux Cord DJs (which featured DJ sets from The Cool Kids, Vic Lloyd, Pachanga, Kaina + Sen Morimoto, Pachanga, DJ King Marie, Babes Only, Marty Mars and more).
