Kipp Stone • "Cult Classic"

Directed by Jon Holman

As the purveyors of the essence of rap music in Chicago, upstart independent record label Closed Sessions is familiar with cult classics, and it fittingly appears their newest signee does as well. The latest addition to the CS family, Cleveland native Kipp Stone, continued to prove why the local label looked outside it's borders with his new visual for "Cult Classic" that dropped earlier today via The FADER.

The video comes with a pretty dope concept to boot. It appears that they shot a pair of visuals for this one, one of which seems to play on the dated TV next to him throughout the piece that comes together to create a sort of layered approach that adds to the context of the song as a whole. Dude can rap too, something we've already seen on his CS debut track, "Seen It All" but this serves as a sort of underline to that earlier sentiment. To be honest, I haven't really paid attention tot he Cleveland scene since the days of Chip The Ripper, Kid Cudi and The Cleveland Show. The guys at CS never seem to disappoint and I'm excited to see what we get from Kipp moving forward.
