BJ The Chicago Kid (Ft. Buddy) • "Man Down"

With his campaign for In My Mind well under way, BJ The Chicago Kid continues to preview the new album with the release of "Man Down", a funky tune featuring Compton rapper Buddy. Having released 6 of the project's 15 tracks, BJ still has plenty of unheard material to make release day special.

Just a little over a week away from In My Mind's release on February 19th, i was a little surprised to see another single, especially so quickly after the offering up the official video for "Turnin Me Up". The feature choice is also an interesting one. Buddy gained national attention in 2011 as a young protege of Pharrell, but has since crept back into the underground. "Man Down" is his second on In My Mind though, with the first being the original version of "Church" alongside Chance The Rapper.

With a release schedule like we've seen so far, I wouldn't count out additional surprises from BJ The Chicago Kid before he releases his album, but there is certainly plenty to keep you busy until then. Pre-order In My Mind via iTunes at the link provided above.
