While I tend to stay away from rough drafts and demos released by artists themselves, this new Trapo track is a worthy exception. The unpolished mix adds to a genuine sense of sorrow transmitted through the Wisconsin native’s voice and cadence that heightens an already evocative narrative of reluctantly letting go of someone, without sacrificing proficiency. As he proved in his excellent She EP, Trapo is not afraid to tap into his most personal thoughts for inspiration and it works here once again.
