Alex Wiley (Ft. Mick Jenkins) • "Automatic"

Single from Alex Wiley's forthcoming album, Synthia. Produced by Mike Gao Guitar by Goyama

Words by Nicholas Rud

It always gets me excited seeing Chicago artists consistently working with each other. For the second time this week we have Alex Wiley and Mick Jenkins together on a track. Earlier this week we saw Alex and Mick join Calez on his new track, "Still Good" (which can be found below). This time, Mick accompanies Wiley on his new track, "Automatic", which you should automatically know that this collaboration results in another banger. Mike Gao put together production for this record, along with additional sounds from San Francisco beat maker and guitarist Go Yama.

Over a smooth upbeat production, Alex delivers his verse and hook, letting us know that he is "living the dream and getting this cream". Mick comes up on the second verse and delivers some ridiculous rhymes and incredible wordplay.

Be on the lookout for Wiley's new project Synthia and catch him with Supa Bwe and Kembe X on their upcoming tour this September. Also, Mick Jenkin's highly anticipated The Healing Component album is set to drop in the next couple of weeks, but for now, check out their new single above.
