Philadelphia-based quartet made up of Catherine Elicson (vocals & guitar) Garrett Koloski (drums), Em Shanahan (keyboard), and Randall Coon (Synths) who collectively front as Empath, are one of two opening acts for Michigan based post-hardcore band - La Dispute - at Metro Monday, November 18th.

Empath’s sound is tight and it doesn’t take long for listeners to appreciate their approach. Their records feel like a mesh of styles that transition with fluidity; at some points they seem more punk than they do rock - and at others, more experimental than they do pop. This is likely what makes the band an exciting performer and one to keep an eye on.

The other bands that share the bill with Empath (opener Touché Amoré and headliner La Dispute) offer more of an intense, heavy-punk/screamo and experimental style.

Show doors will open at 6PM with music starting at 7PM. You can purchase your tickets ahead of time here, or at the door. You can also view more upcoming shows on Metro’s site or some of These Days highlighted shows at the Wrigleyville venue on our event calendar.
