This year’s edition of Red Bull Music Festival Chicago comes to a close highlighting West-side super group PIVOT Gang for the Third Annual John Walt Day.

Metro hosts the third annual John Walt Day in a special back-to-back night takeover on Friday November 29th and Saturday November 30th with doors opening at 6:00PM on both nights. The show is set to feature performances from Saba, Joseph Chilliams, MFnMelo and Frsh Waters on both nights.

Announced only a few hours ago, Femdot (11/29) and Kari Faux (11/30) will also be joining the bill as a special guest.

In early 2017, the Chicago community received devastating news of the murder of rapper Walter Long Jr., aka John Walt. Each year since his passing, fellow members of Pivot Gang (Saba, Joseph Chilliams, MFnMelo, Frsh Waters, Squeak PIVOT and Dae Dae Pivot) alongside other close friends have held a benefit concert in honor of Walt to continue his legacy.

All proceeds from John Walt Day go towards The John Walt Foundation; a non-profit organization which supports inner-city artists and youth working towards their creative ambitions. You can purchase tickets to both nights of JWD and donate to the John Walt Foundation below.
