The Art Institute of Chicago has announced the date and programming for the highly anticipated edition of its After Dark party featuring exhibit Andy Warhol—From A to B and Back Again. On Friday, November 15th, 2019, along with late-night access to the exhibition, DJs sets will be coordinated by Chicago-based party Bizarre Love featuring a live performance from hometown DJ duo Gilligan Moss. After Dark is Art Institute of Chicago’s longstanding after-hours event inside The Modern Wing featuring live music performances, complimentary snacks available throughout the evening, and a cash bar featuring cocktails inspired by the featured exhibition. Andy Warhol—From A to B and Back Again, is a major retrospective featuring more than 400 works by the iconic Pop artist (running through January 26th, 2020) and the first US retrospective in 30 years. After Dark is hosted by The Evening Associates of The Art Institute of Chicago.

Gilligan Moss will be performing in support of their latest single “What Could I Say” (August 2019) and 2018 EP - What Happened?. The duo (who are Bizarre Love alums) are signed to London-based label AMF Records (and imprint of Virgin EMI). Friends since pre-school, Evan and Ben of Gilligan Moss call Chicago their hometown and are currently based and making music in NYC. They’re most known for this distinct style of genre-bending and imaginative remixing.

Since launching in the spring of 2018, Bizarre Love has grown to welcome artists, DJs, producers from Detroit, New York, Wales, Sao Paulo, London, and more alongside dozens of notable and legendary Chicagoans (Ron Carroll, Mike Dunn, Michael Serafini to name a few). Often at Virgin Hotels’ Cerise rooftop for nearly all of its events, Bizarre Love has stepped out for collaborative parties with both Soho House Chicago and Logan Square’s FDC Studios. Chicago Tribune described the party; “Bizarre Love sets itself apart from the city’s sometimes generic nightclub scene by focusing heavily on sounds heard nowhere else.” The Chicago Reader listed Bizarre Love as a finalist for ‘Best Dance Party” in its Best of 2019. Bizarre Love is founded and curated by designer Kevin Shark and DJ Will Galvan.

Tickets for After Dark are on-sale now ranging from $15.00 for Evening Associates members to $35.00 for Adults.
