SaveMoney's presence at Lollapalooza 2016 grows even stronger with the addition of Joey Purp to the line-up. The Chicago rapper will be replacing British rapper Skepta, who cannot enter the country due to ongoing visa issues. Purp will play at 2:30PM at Perry's Stage on Friday, July 29th, now serving as Day 2 of the fest, which expanded an extra day to Thursday. SaveMoney rappers Vic Mensa and Towkio will be also be taking stages at Lollapalooza this year, with Vic Mensa closing out the Pepsi Stage at 9:00PM on Saturday, July 30th and Towkio hitting the Pepsi Stage at 5:15PM on Thursday, July 28th.
Purp is also slated to support Vic Mensa on a 15-date tour this summer, starting next week with the pair's Lolla sets, which should serve as a perfect launching pad for one of the most-anticipated tours of the year. Full dates can be found below. It's been a hell of a year for Joey, one we called back in January when we had him as our cover story to kick of 2016. Between the release of iiiDrops, this recent announcement and the addition to Vic's tour, the rest of the calendar looks plenty exciting as well. Last night, we caught him on yet another stage, as he was joined by Chance The Rapper at a surprise Virgin Hotels performance, yet another furtherance of the huge push forward he's been making lately.
