BJ The Chicago Kid (Ft. Isabella) • "Love Inside"

As an artist, BJ The Chicago Kid has been bubbling just below the surface for awhile now. Having skipped around the country working with the likes of TDE and a wide swath of his fellow local talent, the R&B everyman appears ready to break out for real in 2016, and isn't wasting any time. Today he dropped off a new visual for his single "Love Inside" featuring Isabella, a dope, clean representation that further serves to build BJ's penchant for the sort of ladies man everyone can relate to.

The video also comes amid an influx of work that, while impressive on the surface, is actually just what BJ does when you zoom out and look at his career from a higher vantage point. The last three years he's had solid radio hits, even doing the impossible in getting local airwaves to rock a Chance The Rapper's verse on his "Church" single which is still getting regular rotation with DJ MoonDawg over at WGCI. Earlier this week, he also caught up with one of the funniest and more enjoyable interview segments the internet has been kind enough to guide me to in All Def Digital's Arts & Raps segment where BJ announced his upcoming album, In My Mind, which is due out February 19 with features from Kendrick Lamar, Big K.R.I.T. and Chance. In My Mind also serves as the second project of the year for BJ, having already released a collection of his favorite D'Angelo covers a few weeks ago. Keep in mind folks, it's only January.
