Noname Sells Out First Ever Headlining Tour with Ravyn Lenae

Noname has officially sold out all 20 dates of her debut headlining tour. 'The Telefone Tour' featuring special guest Ravyn Lenae kicks-off with back-to-back dates at the Metro in Chicago on February 8th and 9th. Noname will also be performing at Bonnaroo Music Festival, June 8-11th 2017. Noname is of course touring in support her debut album Telefone, which landed at #5 on our '2016 Chicago Albums of the Year' list.

Two Chicago Bands Combine Forces For US/Canada Tour

The Orwells have recruited rising pop-rock darlings The Walters for their 32-date US and Canadian Tour. The tour begins on March 16th with a hometown, all ages show at the Metro. This past week, The Walters played their breakout 2014 single "I Love You So" on Fox32 Chicago while also talking about how they got their name The Walters and vocal comparisons to The Beach Boys. The group also just released their new "She's Gonna Leave You" with an accompanying music video. The track is the lead single of the groups independent full-length expected sometime this year. The band recorded the track with producer Phil Ek (The Shins, Fleet Foxes, Modest Mouse) in Seattle.

The Orwells third album Terrible Human Beings is released on February 17th, 2017 via Atlantic Records. The group just released 3 tracks from the project, most recently the single "Black Francis" with a video to go with it. The Orwells will also be playing at Bonnaroo 2017.

Sway In The Morning Features Saba Interview and Freestyle on Shade45

Sway brought in Saba into his 'Sway In The Morning' for an extensive 45-minute interview. Topics included his critically acclaimed new effort Bucket List Project, his writing and lyrical content, the origins of his name (originally Sabotahj), going to school in the suburbs despite living on Chicago's Westside and more. Saba elaborated on what inspired the Bucket List Project, as a salute to the passing of his uncle - which inspired him to think about his own "bucket list." Saba also drops a viral freestyle which included some rhyming over Vic Mensa's "Orange Soda" (produced by Cam O'bi) which landed a tweet from the fellow Chicagoan.
