Spencer Tweedy Releases Paperback Book 'OBSERVATIONS'
Chicago drummer and musician Spencer Tweedy has released a paperback book titled OBSERVATIONS. The book features daily entries from Tweedy’s blog (of the same name) where he writes about "people on the street, art and design, politics, and music.” Tweedy wrote entries daily everyday for a year (beginning July 17th, 2018) and the book celebrates its one year anniversary. The 144 page book features 52 risograph illustrations by Chicago based artist Lauren Gallagher. In releasing the book Tweedy said “I learned a lot from the past year of writing OBSERVATIONS. I learned that little things can feel important when you give them space of their own. And that noticing begets more noticing. When you pay attention to a few things, other things reveal themselves to you. I love writing the blog and I hope you enjoy the book!”

Tweedy released his latest EP ‘Sleep Is My God’ in March of 2019. Stream it now on Spotify and Bandcamp. Earlier this year Tweedy drummed on the 7th studio album for Grammy-award winning singer-songwriter Norah Jones; titled Begin Again. Tweedy also has a audio hardware company called Fjord Audio. Tweedy is the son and frequent collaborator of Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy. The two have an album together called Sukierae (under the name Tweedy) that was released in 2014.
