Brandon Breaux launches "What's Good", a new PBS Kids series based in Chicago.

Yesterday, well known Chicago artist, Brandon Breaux, took to Instagram to announce a show that he and his team created after being  recruited by Brand Programming Studios. Titled “What’s Good”, the show, aimed at the youth and families, aired for the first time on January 8th, through PBS platforms.

Along with his announcement, Breaux released a trailer for the show describing the purpose and vision of the program. Accompanied by beautiful imagery and animations by way of Brandon’s visual partners Bounce Castle and 12th And Sac Films, the trailer detailed every facet of what the show will entail. From what we’ve seen so far, the show will focus on a variety of topics. The show will consist of anything from science and money management, to gardening and career building, all the while highlighting Chicago’s diverse arts and culture. Looking to bridge the gap between the youth, arts, and academics, Brandon’s exclusively Chicago based team will certainly be a supplemental platform to the city’s dying educational environment. Featuring guest narrators, Kiara Lanier and J. Ivy, this is sure to be a hit which will hopefully be shown in the classroom as a way to combine students interests with curriculum content.

Tomorrow, January 11th, Breaux will be hosting a talk at Apple, and he encouraged fans and supporters to tune into his Instagram stories for more details. The show will air on the PBS Kids YouTube channel: 01/08/18 - 01/13/18, and the PBS Kids Facebook page: 01/08/18 - 01/11/18, with each episode being released one at a time. Breaux also took to his Instagram to thank everyone involved in the creation of the project, “Thank you to everyone who helped out with the series all my friends that I called in favors from for this you are greatly appreciated.”
