Single Artwork for "Break" -- due 5/8/18

Chicago-based record label and management company Closed Sessions has signed indie/pop singer songwriter Jack Larsen. The St. Charles, IL native joins a roster including rapper Kweku Collins, singer/poet Jamila Woods, rapper Femdot., producer Boathouse, rapper WebsterX and DJ Rude One. Larsen's pop sound would be a new direction for Closed Sessions, whom have historically have been major players in Chicago hip-hop/R&B since its founding as an independent label in 2009. Closed Sessions and Larsen are getting straight to work with the release of his first single "Break" off his upcoming EP Push Ups. Look out for "Break" to drop May 8th, 2018 and the EP soon after. We've had the opportunity to listen through the project over here at These Days and we can honestly say -- we're all in for a treat. Larsen's tunes have the same pop sensibility and trajectory of artists like Jon Bellion and blackbear -- with the relatable story of growing up, facing college decisions, post-graduation and transitioning into adulthood.

Check out our June 2017 These Days story with Jack Larsen which includes links to his past releases and singles. Collaborations and friendships with Kevin Abstract, producer ryanjacob, INDICA and Brockhampton combined with Larsen's often self-produced twist on pop music have put him in the position where he is today. With the backing of Closed Sessions and plenty of label mates to collaborate with, Larsen will be a Chicago talent to keep tabs on.
