Austin Vesely Unveils The Trailer For His New Film Slice

Three years after it was announced to the world, Chicago director Austin Vesely’s Slice finally has a trailer of what we can expect. The A24 produced Slice is the feature film debut for Vesely, who earned acclaim as the videographer for the creative collective SaveMoney.

The film stars Chance The Rapper and Zazie Beetz, best known for her work on Atlanta and her role as Domino in Deadpool 2. Based off the trailer, the film seems to follow Chance and Beetz as they try to solve the mystery behind the murder of a regular pizza boy (played by Vesely himself) at the hands of a werewolf. The story gets only more surreal from there and from the look of the trailer, it appears this film will blend comedy with horror.

Also starring the likes of Joe Keery of Stranger Things, comedians Paul Scheer, and Hannibal Buress, Slice certainly looks like it will be quite entertaining. This is a huge accomplishment for Vesely who earned his stripes directing music videos for a who’s who of Chicago artists way before they were famous. A release date has yet to be announced, but be sure to keep on eye on this film as we get closer to the release of the film.
